From "simple" glass, the German brand Ritzenhoff has, in just 10 years, passed the world icon of design, collaborating with about 300 designers in creating more than 50 collections.
In its list of collaborators they shine names like Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass, Karim Rashid, Michael Sieger, Massimo Iosa Ghini, Roger Selden among many others. It was in 1992 that Ritzenhoff began its collaboration with Sieger Design, a mentor of the brand of glassware, as we know it today.
Collections of beer glasses and spirits were created, such as the small series "schnaps"; Glasses and dishes, the "champus" collection, recommended for champagne and also a strong reason to celebrate; The humorous series of ashtrays for cigar and "smoking" and "smoking light" cigarettes
At the turn of the millennium, the concept was extended to new materials and objects. From glass to ceramics and textiles, the Ritzenhoff concept evolved and gained new contours: the same basic form gave rise to numerous interpretations by designers, architects and artists. New themes, forms and decorations appear, creating a relationship of unprecedented closeness between the object and its user. And it is not only the product itself that fascinates the many fans, the originality of the packaging, the small accompanying products (such as cups or napkins, as an example) and the complementarity of the decorative packaging / product motifs. Thus, the Ritzenhoff brand has become not only a commercial success but a recognized cultural project worldwide.
